Administrators SickBiker Posted January 8, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 8, 2018 F-SI is made for pretty much one thing - crushing those hard XC races. My model "Carbon 2" is equipped with quite good components and the main difference between the one and "Carbon 1" or "Carbon Team" is it's non Hi-Mod carbon frame and an alloy Lefty 2.0. Videos with this bike: bike detailed test HERE, Lefty fork on descent HERE, Hollowgram Si crankset HERE. F-SI Carbon 2 has ALL I need for my 2017 XC season and I can't wait to launch my weapon in the races. System Ai = symmetrical rear wheel! Cannondale CZero carbon wheels shave the weight - 10 kg for a complete bike. You're gonna trust these robust junctions on some drops... The Magura MT Race brakes aren't amazing, they just brake. No XTR shifter on such a machine?! XTR rear mech is stable and precise. I would rather cross the cables to minimize those curves... Ai means also great tire clearance. Yes! Lefty 2.0 got some bushing and is fully sealed now. Tapered Lefty hub and spindle has been used here for years. Not all frames can manage the stress double crowned fork creates on the head tube! Initially your brain will shout: "no balance", but it will shut up on hard XC courses Love it or hate it... BallisTec Carbon - high quality fibers only. Front suspension, System Integration. Yes, the seatpost bends and the SAVE system works! All elements of the frame and fork (55 mm offset) make up a great racing geometry. DELTA SEATTUBE - huge joint with the BB. The "glitter" paint? SICK! NOT COOL: the saddle is too heavy for such an expensive bike, you need to unscrew the brake's caliper in order to remove the front wheel. COOL: asymmetrical rear end + genius, SYMMETRICAL rear wheel makes an extremely stiff chassis, which doesn't even need a through axle, robust head tube ready for a double crowned fork, Lefty 2.0 crushes other forks with its stiffness and precision, especially in the corners and during hard braking, lots of clearance for both front and rear tire + dirt, YES, you can mount the front derailleur on this XC racing bike! Verdict? THE BIKE IS SICK! Great range of Cannondale bikes available HERE.
