Administrators SickBiker Posted December 5, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 5, 2018 Here's the tutorial on how to disassemble, clean, grease and assemble the vintage Shimano Sora ST-R3300 shifters. If your shifters don't work, try to start simply by spraying some WD-40 into it. The old grease might stop the pawls from moving. If it doesn't help, the full maintenance can be necessary. I use a Shimano grease, like this one. Here are some pictures of the Shimano Sora ST-R3300 overhaul (the two last pictures show the important moment of putting the tension on the spring, during assembly):
Maya
The circular white plastic part that you feed the cable into (I'm imagining it's the indexer but am not sure) on my left shift lever is broken; does anyone have any ideas as to where a replacement could be found? Shimano doesn't sell them...
